Homeless People – our special focus
Every time we run one of our monthly events, free Life Discovery buses run to towns and cities all over the South East, taking homeless people from where they are, feeding them and giving them a life-changing day out.
We work with churches in London, Surrey, Sussex, Kent and beyond who help us extend the invitation of a Life Discovery day to people on the streets. Guests are collected on a Life Discovery bus and at the venue, like all our other guests, they get lunch and an evening meal too. We provide all appropriate clothing and footwear and have showers and hot drinks throughout the day.
Homeless People – our developing vision to do more
We want to have the opportunity to practically offer some longer term aid to help some of the homeless people who come to our days get back onto their feet. Our vision is to convert shipping containers into self contained living units. On the farm land in Salfords, Surrey where our events take place, there is space for a number of these and an opportunity to create a small community with an Manager who’ll mentor our guests and help them get their lives back on track. Guests will typically stay with out for around three months.
